Brian Fiedler
Senior Vice President for Advancement
Brian Fiedler serves as the Senior Vice President for Advancement at University of the People, where he leads the institution’s global fundraising strategy to expand access to high-quality, tuition-free higher education. He brings nearly two decades of experience in advancement leadership, most recently at Washington University in St. Louis, where he served as Vice Chancellor for Philanthropic Strategy. In that role, he led a number of cross-functional teams responsible for translating institutional priorities into compelling cases for support and scalable fundraising initiatives, contributing to sustained growth in philanthropic revenue.
Brian has extensive experience working with donors to inspire and facilitate transformational gifts, building high-performing advancement organizations, and aligning strategy with execution to drive measurable results. He is particularly focused on developing innovative approaches to engage donors in mission-driven work that creates meaningful, long-term impact.
Drawn to University of the People’s revolutionary model of leveraging technology to remove barriers to education, Brian is committed to accelerating the institution’s growth and deepening its global impact. He holds a strong belief in education as a driver of economic mobility and social transformation, and he is passionate about connecting philanthropic investment to life-changing outcomes for students worldwide.
