Career Service Center

University of the People’s Career Service Center offers career guidance and advising for professional discovery and success during, as well as following, the completion of a UoPeople degree. The University of the People Career Service Center offers students comprehensive, expert guidance as well as tools to improve vital professional skills pertinent to the business world, including:

  • Resume building and cover letter writing
  • Job searching skills
  • Interviewing techniques
  • Career planning in the area of one’s major (i.e. business, computer sciences

University of the People provides access to a number of different internship opportunities offered by internationally recognized corporations and organizations, and are available exclusively to University of the People students.

Since the internship program’s inception, students have undertaken exciting internships online in a variety of sectors, and have gained invaluable work experience and networking opportunities. All internship opportunities consist of defined projects within the host’s organization; creating valuable learning opportunities for the student. The program is available to all current UoPeople students. Suitable internship opportunities will be sent to students’ emails during the course of their studies.

The mentorship program provides students a support system throughout their degree. UoPeople mentors consist of industry-leading professionals and valued members of the UoPeople global community who help support our students to accomplish their goals. Through our mentorship program, students receive guidance, encouragement and the skills necessary to succeed. The mentor will help to achieve personal, academic and professional goals for the student. The mentorship program builds a strong, well-rounded, successful student in his/her studies, as well as beyond the classroom.

Networking is vital in the quest to build a successful career, no matter the field. At UoPeople our international community of faculty and students provides a global networking community. With faculty hailing from some of the top universities, corporations and foundations worldwide, and students hailing from over 194 countries, the networking potential at UoPeople is immense!

Our global employment network aids in broadening the career opportunities as well as strengthening the career options for our students, providing each student with a classroom of international learners and peers, to create an extensive professional network.
