Processing Fees – Undergraduate Degrees
UoPeople is able to offer our students an online degree tuition-free because of our unique model of online higher education. Our minimal processing fees help to maintain our tuition-free online degree structure—allowing all qualified students to receive their online degree without educational instruction expenses, course material or annual enrollment fees. We ask for a non-refundable application fee of $60 and assessment fee of $100 per exam [not in one full payment but at the time of each exam] which can be covered by numerous grants and scholarships.
The estimated total fees for the Associate’s degree are as follows: $2,060
The estimated total fees for the Bachelor’s degree are as follows: $4,060
Processing Fees – Graduate Degrees
University of the People does not charge students for their educational instruction, course materials or annual enrollment. It does charge modest fees for application and examination processing. The current fee schedule is as follows:
- Application Processing Fee – $60
The Application Processing Fee is non-refundable and must be submitted by the applicant along with the application for admission.
The Application Processing Fee does not include any additional fees that may be required for third-party evaluation.
- Assessment Fee – $200
Students are required to pay an Assessment Fee of $200 for every end-of-course examination that they take.

Grants & Scholarships
UoPeople works with top corporations and organizations to provide grants and scholarships to students needing financial support when paying the required processing fees. Students can apply each term for the scholarship that best fits; UoPeople wants to assure finances do not restrict students from studying.
How to pay processing fees
Payments can be made through Western Union, Western Union Global Pay, Paypal, Cashier’s Checks and Payment via MoneyGram. PayPal payments can be with your personal PayPal account or by using major credit card or debit card—VISA, MasterCard, Discover or American Express.
