Concentration in Project Management

Prepare to lead projects from start to finish across industries. The Project Management concentration helps students build practical skills in planning, organizing, and leading projects across professional settings. Students learn how to manage scope, schedules, budgets, risks, procurement, stakeholder communication, and agile project work while applying project management standards to real-world scenarios. Students graduate well-equipped for roles in project delivery, operations, and management of cross-functional teams.

Concentration in Organizational Management

Build the skills to lead and improve how organizations operate. The Organizational Management concentration helps students develop the leadership and management skills needed to support teams, departments, and organizational goals. Students learn foundational concepts in finance, human resources, organizational behavior, quality management, strategic planning, and workplace communication. Upon graduation, students are prepared to take on roles in team supervision, operations, and business coordination.

The BA in General Studies curriculum is designed to build broad, career-ready skills across multiple disciplines while allowing students to focus on practical leadership pathways. Through core coursework and a concentration in Project Management or Organizational Management, students develop communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills that prepare them for diverse professional environments.

  • 45 core credits (including concentration courses and capstone)
  • 39 elective credits
Note: Regarding the General Education Requirements, each of the sections can be fulfilled by any course that is closely related to the discipline. While the 36 credits required for the Elective section can be fulfilled by summing courses from any discipline.

UoPeople does not charge for tuition, books, or campus expenses. We charge only a one-time $60 application fee, and a $180 assessment fee per course. You can expect to complete your Bachelor of Arts in General Studies at UoPeople, for a total $3,660 or less* -- more than 6X less than the average degree completion program. Our mission is to make it possible for everyone to afford higher education.

 

*BA in General Studies requires students to transfer in a minimum of 60 credits, equal to 20 courses. Cost based on completion of 20 courses.
