“My Global Community of Peers is One of the Best Parts of Studying at UoPeople,” Says Business Student, Sanaz K.
Sanaz K., Business Administration, Iran
At just 21 years old, Sanaz K. is already building a future grounded in resilience, discipline, and ambition. Originally from Iran and proudly Persian, she is currently pursuing her Bachelor of Business Administration at University of the People.
Sanaz credits her upbringing for shaping who she is today. “My family taught me the value of discipline and empathy from a young age,” she shares. “At the same time, my early education encouraged creativity and independent thinking. That combination helped me learn how to approach challenges calmly and strategically.”
Those qualities have clearly followed her into her academic journey. At UoPeople, Sanaz has distinguished herself through both dedication and performance. She was named to the Honors List for Term 1 (2025–2026), a recognition of her strong academic performance and dedication to her studies. “I believe consistency is everything,” she says. “When you stay disciplined but still allow yourself to think creatively, you can succeed in any environment.”

Sanaz discovered UoPeople while searching for an online university that offered flexibility and strong academic standards. “I first read other students’ reviews of the university. Most of them were so positive and encouraging. That’s when I decided to apply.”
For Sanaz, the decision quickly proved to be the right one. She found not only academic opportunity but also a supportive global community. “My global community of peers is one of the best parts,” she says. “Students truly try to help one another — sharing study tips, helping each other find internships, and offering support whenever someone needs it. That kind of collaboration makes a huge difference.”
Sanaz’s educational journey has unfolded during a particularly difficult period in her home country. In late 2025 and early 2026, widespread protests and political unrest created instability across Iran. Economic hardship, public demonstrations, and heavy government crackdowns marked the period. Living through uncertainty while continuing her studies required resilience and focus. Yet Sanaz remained committed to her goals.
“Education gives me direction,” she says. Her determination reflects her belief that knowledge is a long-term investment — one that creates options, independence, and opportunity.
She also hopes that people around the world remain aware and compassionate. “There are many families in Iran facing challenges right now,” she says. “I simply hope that our stories are heard and that people continue to care. Awareness and understanding can go a long way.”
While she is not currently working, Sanaz plans to pursue an internship this summer to gain practical business experience. “I’m planning to become an intern this summer — wish me luck,” she says with a smile.
Sanaz’s ambitions extend beyond academics. She hopes to build a career that combines business expertise with creativity and cultural awareness. Outside of her studies, she finds inspiration in art. “I love visiting art galleries, and I’m especially passionate about Persian art. People around the world need to understand that Persian art has its own identity — it’s distinct and rich, and not simply the same as Islamic art.” To her, art represents expression, heritage, and perspective — values that also shape how she approaches business and leadership.
Through discipline, creativity, and perseverance, Sanaz is proving that age is not a limitation and circumstances do not define destiny. “My education is helping me grow not just academically, but personally,” she says. “No matter where you are in the world, if you stay focused and believe in yourself, you can achieve more than you think.”
Sanaz’s approach to life already demonstrates that resilience paired with opportunity can open powerful doors — and she is only just getting started. As a university, we are proud of the remarkable strides she is making and wish her continued success.
