Abdur R. is Learning Skills to Successfully Own His Own Business

Abdur R. was born in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. “All of my life I have wanted to be an entrepreneur and own my own business.” However, pursuing his dreams of earning a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration proved difficult for Abdur.

“After moving to Bangladesh I tried to get admission to many different universities, but most rejected me and the others were too costly.” Abdur was still driven to pursue higher education, but over time he began to feel defeated and that this dream might be an impossibility.

“Finally, I got an acceptance letter from a reputable university IIUC, but it was just too far from my home. I was desperately looking for a way to earn a degree, and pursue my dream as an entrepreneur. I wanted to open my own business, but I did not think I could manage to while studying,” he told us.

What changed for Abdur? “One day I read about the University of the People, and realized it could be a solution to my problems. I would get the flexibility I needed, and it was also affordable. I was able to learn completely online and on my own schedule.”

His favorite part of earning his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration at UoPeople? “I love learning new concepts and business strategies every day. I also enjoy meeting new people from all over the world.The diversity has taught me a lot about life, people, and culture.”

Abdur was excited to share, “Now, I am able to earn my degree in Business Administration and move forward with establishing a business. I truly believe that I will succeed.” For the first time in a long time Abdur is now optimistic about his future. Abdur is relieved to be able to accomplish both his career and higher education goals at the same time.

We know that he will build the future he has always wanted and are so glad to have been a part of his journey.

But, the biggest question is what does he envision for the future? “I am really passionate about being an entrepreneur and building a company from scratch. UoPeople is teaching me the skills and tools to do that and be successful. My biggest goal is to live a life where I am more confident and able to inspire others with my dedication.”
