Health Science Student, Abdulai Believes his Program Aligns Perfectly with his Dreams
Abdulai M., Health Science, Ghana
Born and raised in Ghana, Abdulai describes himself as “hardworking, respectful, committed.” As a young boy, he enjoyed reading, playing football, and all kinds of creative activities at school.
“I tinkered incessantly to create sand model humans, little fabric footballs, etc. My curiosity knew no bounds. I was hooked to books and riddles and chased elders all around if I failed to find my own answers to puzzles,” he laughs.
Abdulai came across UoPeople while searching for an online university that was both affordable and flexible. He found that our Health Science program aligned with his interests and aspirations.
“I feel like Uopeople is the most suitable school option for someone like me. I love my program. The associate in health science at UoPeople is well structured and our instructors are simply awesome. I am learning a lot, and I can see how my perspective is shifting toward empiricism.” He says, “You cannot be a UoPeople student and suffer hopelessness. That’s just not possible. The global peer network here is something I value a lot. There is a lot of support.”
Abdulai is currently working as an enrolled nurse under Ghana Health Service. He feels the knowledge he is acquiring at Uopeople will help excel further in the field.
“Health is the most important thing to mankind. I am studying to be a part of the workforce that concerns itself with human health. It’s a great field of study and I want to make great strides in the field,” he says.
With a demanding career, family responsibilities, and a rigorous course of study, his days are busy. However, Abdulai keeps a positive spirit. He believes everything can be done with a bit of planning and the right attitude. To him, giving up is not an option.
His next goal is to earn a master’s degree and, after that, maybe a degree in computer science.
“I am interested in many things—which is why I want to study more and be professionally involved in a lot of things. I wish to be a lecturer, philosopher, data scientist, and health science expert. I simply want my entire country to be proud of me,” he adds with great enthusiasm.
We are excited about Abdulai’s plans and wish him all the best in his accomplishments.
