“UoPeople’s Curriculum Works for Entrepreneurs,” Says Business Student, Ala Eddine K.

Ala Eddine K., Business Administration, Algeria

Ala Eddine K. grew up in Algeria with big dreams and an unstoppable curiosity. Coming from a humble, hardworking background, he was raised with the values of resilience, discipline, and self-education. His parents instilled these principles in him from a young age. “Despite limited resources, I was always encouraged to dream big. I received my early education in the traditional Algerian school system, and from an early age, I started seeking out opportunities beyond the classroom, especially in entrepreneurship and digital platforms,” he shares.

Life, however, was not without challenges for Ala Eddine. Like many young people in North Africa, he faced economic limitations, an uncertain job market, and few local opportunities. “Rather than let challenges define me, I decided to create opportunities—not just for myself, but for others. That mindset pushed me to build and lead multiple business ventures while still pursuing my degree.”

His search for a way forward led him to discover the University of the People. “I was looking online for a flexible, affordable, and accredited university that could fit around my busy entrepreneurial life. I was inspired by the mission of UoPeople and the stories of students like me from around the globe. The idea that I could get a high-quality education without borders and without massive debt was exactly what I was looking for. I immediately decided to enroll in the bachelor’s program in Business Administration at the university.”

What Ala Eddine values most about UoPeople is its accessibility and flexible online learning model. “The curriculum is modern, challenging, and global—exactly what someone looking to grow companies both in Algeria and internationally needs. I’m especially drawn to courses involving business strategy, finance, and entrepreneurship. The peer-to-peer learning environment at UoPeople is incredibly supportive and diverse. I absolutely recommend UoPeople to anyone seeking an education that adapts to their life, not the other way around.”

Outside the classroom, Ala Eddine is the founder and CEO of Khelifi Enterprises, which includes ventures such as JobXfluence (a recruitment agency fighting unemployment), Cogroo (a knowledge-sharing platform), and Stratejike (a branding agency for the French market).

His ambitions don’t stop there. Ala Eddine envisions expanding his companies across the region and eventually building a financial and banking ecosystem that empowers businesses and individuals throughout North Africa and the Middle East.

When he’s not running startups or studying, Ala Eddine creates content for more than 11,000 social media followers, sharing insights on business, finance, and personal growth. He also enjoys running, playing chess, learning piano, studying poker strategy, and relaxing with TV shows that spark creativity.

How does he manage to do so much? “I currently manage multiple startups, work part-time in a recruitment agency, and create content around 11 hours a week, all while studying at UoPeople. It’s not easy, but I believe that when you have a clear vision, discipline fuels motivation. My days are carefully structured to maintain a healthy balance, and my long-term goals keep me focused.”

Ala Eddine’s journey is one of ambition, action, and access—the very spirit of UoPeople. His story is a powerful reminder that with vision, discipline, and opportunity, it’s possible to break barriers and build a future not only for yourself, but for entire communities. We are absolutely rooting for him and wish him the very best.
