Associate of Science in Computer Science (ACS) Courses

The Associate of Science in Computer Science (ACS) program combines a liberal arts foundation with core computer science principles. Students gain a strong understanding of the mathematical and scientific concepts underlying computing and information technology. This program develops skills in system design, problem analysis, and ethical considerations in computing, serving as a foundation for continued study toward a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science.

Graduates of the AS-CS program will be able to:

● Provide a framework for applying strategies for effectively designing computing systems.
● Cover the knowledge and skills needed to analyze problems from multiple perspectives and seek resolution through multiple methods and tools.
● Enhance their command of critical thinking with respect to computer ethics, privacy, and security.
