Admiralty University Ibusa
About Admiralty University Ibusa
Admiralty University of Nigeria (ADUN), Ibusa, is a university owned by the Nigerian Navy through its investment arm, Navy Holdings Limited. It was originally established in December 2017 as a private university through a public-private partnership between Navy Holdings Limited and Hellenic Education Nigeria, and was inaugurated on 24 May 2019 by then-Chief of Naval Staff Ibok Ete-Ibas, matriculating its first batch of 231 students. In 2023, ADUN transitioned into a full federal university. It operates two campuses: the 100-hectare main campus along the Ibusa-Ogwashi-Uku Expressway, about 20km from Asaba, Delta State; and a second, 203-acre campus at the existing Nigerian Navy Engineering College site in Sapele. ADUN comprises faculties of Science, Arts, Management and Social Sciences, and Law, with a curriculum emphasizing skills acquisition, industry readiness, and specializations including Maritime, Logistics Management, Forensic Science, and Cyber Security.
