Adamawa State University
About Adamawa State University
Adamawa State University (ADSU) is a state-owned university in Mubi, in the Northern Senatorial District of Adamawa State, north-eastern Nigeria, established by Adamawa State University Law No. 10 of 2001, with academic activities beginning in 2002. Mubi sits at the foot of the Mandara Mountains, along the border with Cameroon. ADSU operates a dual-campus system — a Main Campus and a Sahuda Road Campus — and comprises five faculties: Education, Agriculture, Arts, Science, and Social and Management Sciences, alongside a postgraduate school.
The university’s title caption is „Towards ensuring rapid development and transformation of the State.“ ADSU applies notably different JAMB cut-off thresholds for indigenes versus non-indigenes on some competitive courses — for example, Law requires a score of 220 for Adamawa State indigenes but 250 or higher for candidates from other states.
