Vice President for Development
Robert Holcomb joined University of the People in April 2019 as Vice President for Development in New York. With over 20 years of professional fundraising expertise, Robert began his career at Yale University, where he spent ten years in progressively more responsible roles culminating in the position of Acting Director of Principal Gifts. In this role, Robert played a vital role in helping the University successfully launch its most recent capital campaign.
Following Yale Robert joined New York-Presbyterian Hospital as Sr. Principal Gifts Officer and later, Seeds of Peace, as Executive Vice President of Development. Prior to joining UoPeople, Robert served as Director of Development for St. Stephen’s School, a private high school based in Rome, Italy, and was briefly served as Executive Director of Development for The American Kennel Club.
A native of Washington State in the U.S., Robert graduated from the University of Washington with a B.A. in Classics. A lifelong advocate of the transformative impact of education and learning, Robert looks forward to building a lasting foundation of financial support to continue UoPeople’s vital mission.
